Coatings : Lime coating

Lime coating is a mineral matt finishing coat made from hydrated lime and natural pigments (earth and oxides). It is applied in two or three coats, both internally and externally, and is available in 32 mineral shades.

Lime coating creates a powdery deep matt appearance for both interior and exterior walls. Slightly granular and easy to apply, it resonates beautifully. Worked with a paintbrush, brush, finishing trowel, knife, etc.

On old surfaces, lime coatings allow walls to breathe thanks to the exchange of gases. This natural ventilation controls humidity and improves air quality inside the building.

Lime coating can be smoothed or applied roughly using a metal trowel, dragged using a brush or even smoothed with a sponge to bring out the grain.

Ma’s decorative coatings are supplied as a liquid.

Acrylic coating and waxed plaster coating are used to decorate interior walls.

On exterior walls, silicate coat for stucco, cement coating and lime coating are highly resistant to weathering and acid rain water, thanks to their permeability and tolerance to ultraviolet rays.
