The worktop has a fiber-reinforced concrete core, a lightweight material with good acoustics.

The Marius Aurenti waxed concrete worktop is both resistant and smooth, and is the result of a combination of materials produced by the brand in a system of 3 technical layers, manufactured directly in our French workshops.

Reception, storage and handling instructions

RECEPTION

When the goods leave, a quality control check is carried out on the condition of the worktops (no bumps, cracks, breakages, scratches, stains, etc.).

It is essential to check the condition of the goods on receipt (no knocks, cracks, breakages, scratches, stains, etc.), taking care to open the packaging.

Note any necessary reservations on the carrier's consignment note. Take photos to support any recourse to the carrier.

Acceptance without a precise written reservation on the carrier's consignment note will not entitle the customer to any recourse.

HANDLING PRECAUTIONS

Health and safety standards must always be observed. Wear protective gloves to avoid staining worktops. Worktop corners must be protected from impact.

Remove dust from worktops before installation. Do not use a cutter when unpacking.

STORAGE

Store worktops in their original packaging. Any edge, corner or surface protection must be maintained until the worktops are installed.

They should be stored horizontally, so as not to distort.

Store in a clean, dry (no condensation of water vapour, heated if necessary), temperate place, away from humidity and protected from rising damp, direct sunlight and at the place of destination 48 hours before use, in temperature (15°C) and humidity (40 to 65%) conditions.

SAFETY

Store in original, unopened packaging, away from sunlight and frost, in a temperate room (+15°C minimum).

APPLICATION EQUIPMENT

Worktop cutting tools: plunge-cut circular saw with diamond blade, diamond hole saw, suitable pliers and disk cutters.

Installation tool: Joint MS Polymer Marius Aurenti mastic-glue cartridge

CUTTING WORKTOPS

Cut-outs are made using the tools described in the section on installation equipment. Particular attention should be paid to circular cuts and cuts at the ends of work surfaces. Care should also be taken to level the work. Protect the edge with a water-repellent varnish or sealant to protect the worktop from joint defects.

ENCOLLAGE

To avoid adhesion problems, the back of the worktops must be dust-free. Apply a bead of adhesive to the back of the worktops, then position them on the surface to be covered.

Be sure to observe the open time of the adhesive used.

SETTING UP WORK SURFACES

Worktops are positioned on the substrate. Any adhesive build-up should be cleaned immediately, before drying.

Care must be taken when positioning the worktops, because once they have been positioned on the support, they are difficult to move.

Worktops are composed of a front and a back panel, which must be taken into account during installation. Apply MS Polymer sealant to edges and material junctions.

Care and maintenance

Protect the worktop when using sharp tools (knives, etc.) and when exposed to temperatures over 80°C (hot pans, hot splashes). Be sure to follow Marius Aurenti cleaning product instructions.

Clean regularly with Marius Aurenti Multi-Purpose Cleaner Degreaser diluted 1 to 2 % in water, then rinse with water.

Clean white traces of limescale with Antibacterial Limescale Cleaner and rinse with water.

Rinsing with water eliminates deposits of cleaning products that can eventually clog or damage the worktop.

Clean persistent surface marks with a red scraping sponge or a sponge specifically designed for enamel or glass-ceramic. Green sponges may scratch the surface protection of the worktop.

Do not add black soap, linseed oil or other nourishing products to surfaces, to avoid clogging. Avoid prolonged or permanent contact with aggressive chemicals such as acids, alkalis, vinegar, solvents, bleach, hydroalcoholic gel.

Handcrafted, Marius Aurenti worktops are unique products. The care taken in their manufacture does not prevent variations in appearance and color.

A wood stain finish can be used for occasional color touch-ups on worktops (please contact our sales teams).

Worktops feature a surface protection that provides matt to silky-matt effects. Despite the high performance and qualifications of this protection, it is not insensitive to long and repeated exposure to products that can attack it.

Hydro-alcoholic gel sprayed onto worktop surfaces can cause irreversible damage. Surfaces at risk of exposure must be perfectly protected.
