Remove dust from boards before gluing.<\/p>\n<h3>STORAGE<\/h3>\n<p>Store blades in their original packaging. Any edge, corner or surface protection must be maintained until the Malto boards have been installed.<\/p>\n<p>They should be stored horizontally, so as not to distort.<\/p>\n<p>Store in a clean, dry (no condensation of water vapour, heated if necessary), temperate place, away from humidity and protected from rising damp, direct sunlight and at the place of destination 48 hours before use, in temperature (15\u00b0C) and humidity (40 to 65%) conditions.<\/p>\n<h3>Permissible substrates<\/h3>\n<p>New or old substrates will be sanded and then mechanically vacuumed.<\/p>\n<p>Substrates must be sound, clean, crack-free and cohesive (surface scraping with a metal object must not produce dust, grain or scale; tensile strength in perpendicular tension  &gt;  0.5 MPa in the general case), dry, flat (deflection less than 5 mm under the 2-meter straightedge and 1 mm under the 20 cm straightedge), normally porous (between 1 and 5 minutes in the water drop test), clean (notably free of grease, dust and any loose parts), in compliance with current DTU standards.<\/p>\n<p>Interior walls :<\/p>\n<p>Non-waterproof (cardboard faces) and waterproof gypsum plasterboards<\/p>\n<p>Previously sanded and dusted paintwork<\/p>\n<p>Plasterboard partitions<\/p>\n<p>Shaped walls in bare aerated concrete blocks<\/p>\n<p>Gypsum plaster on masonry walls and partitions<\/p>\n<p>Cement-based plasters on concrete or masonry walls and partitions<\/p>\n<p>Concrete walls or precast concrete panels<\/p>\n<h2>Implementation<\/h2>\n<h3>CONDITIONS OF APPLICATION<\/h3>\n<p>AMBIENT TEMPERATURE &gt;+ 5\u00b0C and &lt;35\u00b0C<\/p>\n<p>HUMIDITY OF SUBSTRATE 4% maximum<\/p>\n<h3>APPLICATION EQUIPMENT<\/h3>\n<p>Blade-cutting tools: plunge-cutting circular saw with diamond blade, diamond hole saw, suitable pliers and disk cutters.<\/p>\n<p>Installation tool: mastic-glue cartridge, adjustment spacer to facilitate flatness adjustment of finished work.<\/p>\n<h3>CUTTING<\/h3>\n<p>The Malto cut-outs are positioned according to the layout drawn up beforehand. Cut-outs are made using the tools described in the section on installation equipment. Particular care must be taken when making circular cuts and cutting Malto ends. Care will also be taken to level the structure.<\/p>\n<h3>ENCOLLAGE<\/h3>\n<p>To avoid adhesion defects, the back of Malto blades must be free of dust.<\/p>\n<p>Apply a bead of glue to the back of the MALTO slats, then position them on the wall to be decorated.<\/p>\n<p>Be sure to observe the open time of the adhesive used.<\/p>\n<h3>SETTING UP<\/h3>\n<p>The blades are positioned on the support. Any adhesive build-up should be cleaned immediately, before drying.<\/p>\n<p>Care must be taken when positioning the blades, because once the MALTO blades have been positioned on the support, they are difficult to move.<\/p>\n<h3>PROTECTION<\/h3>\n<p>The application of a wall varnish or high-performance varnish protects the finished decor.<\/p>\n<h2>Further information<\/h2>\n<p>A finishing woodstain can be used for occasional color touch-ups on Malto slats (please contact our sales teams).<\/p>\n<p>Avoid prolonged or permanent contact with aggressive chemicals such as acids, alkalis, vinegar, solvents, bleach, hydroalcoholic gel&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Malto blades are not recommended for use in contact with hot oils (e.g. kitchen splashbacks).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Malto is a tough, easy-to-use interior cladding product that can be glued in place.
