The architecture
In Esch-sur-Alzette, Belval brings the traces of steelmaking into dialogue with new architectural interventions. The façade shown here relates to the surrounding metal structures through its simple volume and mineral surface.
Materials in the project
Marius Aurenti exterior microcement gives the façade a unified appearance while retaining variations visible in daylight. The material responds to the scale of the building and its relationship with the neighbouring industrial structures.
